Frequently Asked Questions
Château de Reignac is located in Saint-Loubès, in the Bordeaux vineyard, close to the city of Bordeaux.
Château de Reignac is a Bordeaux wine estate whose building dates back to the 17th century.
Château de Reignac belongs to Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot, who acquired the property on April 1st 1990. For more than 30 years they have developed the estate, crafting elegant wines. They have made Reignac a lively place, open to visitors.
Reignac stands out in particular for the diversity of its terroirs, with both clay-limestone and clay-gravel soils, as well as its preserved natural environment.
Château de Reignac is not included in the historic classification of Bordeaux Grands Crus Classés. The estate nevertheless enjoys recognition based on the quality of its wines, its terroirs and its vineyard work. Its results in blind tastings have contributed to its reputation. Reignac advocates a demanding yet accessible vision of Bordeaux wine, with cuvées that fully express their origin.
Château de Reignac notably distinguished itself during a blind tasting organised by the Grand Jury Européen in 2009. In this type of tasting, wines are assessed without the participants knowing their label or price. This recognition illustrates the intrinsic quality of Reignac’s wines and their ability to compete with Bordeaux references when judged solely on their expression in the glass.
