Created in 2002 and produced in limited quantities, the BALTHUS cuvée comes from two carefully chosen plots with clay-limestone and clay-gravel soils. An iconic 100% Merlot cuvée, BALTHUS is made using integral vinification, exclusively in new barrels, following a process patented by Yves Vatelot.
This technique allows highly precise extraction and gives the wine depth, a silky texture and remarkable complexity. The long, persistent finish underlines the full ageing potential of this exceptional cuvée.
