A vision guided by excellence
A family journey driven by high standards, curiosity and a constant commitment to quality. The Vatelot family combines modern technology with the expertise and talent of its team to make Château de Reignac an exceptional wine estate.
A Château Rich in History
Dating back to the late 17th century, Château de Reignac has a history shaped by centuries of change. Its elegant courtyard, wrought-iron gates and remarkable greenhouse designed by Gustave Eiffel reflect the estate’s unique heritage. In 1998, the 16th-century dovecote was carefully restored and transformed into a one-of-a-kind blind-tasting tower, adding another distinctive chapter to the story of Château de Reignac.

A Bold Vision for Château de Reignac
Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot acquired Château de Reignac on the 1st of April 1990, following the advice of renowned French oenologist Michel Rolland.
From the beginning, their ambition was to bring out the full potential of the estate and produce outstanding Bordeaux wines, combining tradition, innovation and a constant focus on quality.
Today, this vision continues to guide the estate, with wines that reflect the character of Reignac and the Vatelot family’s commitment to making great wines.

A Tasting to Remember
The Grand Jury Européen blind tasting marked an important moment in the history of Château de Reignac.
In 2009, the 2001 vintage of Grand Vin de Reignac took second place in this blind tasting, standing out among some of Bordeaux’s finest wines.
This recognition confirmed the estate’s potential and strengthened its ambition to produce outstanding wines that express the full character of its terroir, vintage after vintage.

A wine that speaks for itself ?
Two Signature Wines
Grand Vin de REIGNAC and BALTHUS
Two wines, Two signatures
In 1996, Grand Vin de REIGNAC was born, driven by a clear ambition: to create a wine that would bring out the very best of our terroir. It soon made its mark in Bordeaux, earning a score of 90/100 from Robert Parker and a place among the 50 best Bordeaux wines in a ranking by the Grand Jury Européen.
In 2002, Yves Vatelot took this ambition a step further with the creation of BALTHUS, a wine made entirely from Merlot. Fermented and aged exclusively in new oak barrels, using a patented method developed by Yves Vatelot, BALTHUS stands out for its depth, rich aromas and beautifully rounded texture.
Two wines, each with its own character, united by the same passion: pushing the boundaries of what our terroir can offer.
